For ten years, I worked inside conventional veterinary hospitals. I loved the science, the diagnostic puzzle-solving, the relief on a pet parent's face when we figured out what was wrong.
But I also saw the same heartbreaking pattern over and over: devoted pet parents spending thousands on treatments that never addressed the root cause. Pets trapped in cycles of chronic illness. Families exhausted, overwhelmed, and losing hope.
I knew there had to be a better way.
That's when I discovered the missing piece conventional care overlooks: the nervous system connection between humans and their pets. Your stress affects your pet's biology. Your regulation affects their healing capacity. You're not separate systems—you're a co-regulating ecosystem.
I developed The Rising Wellness Philosophy™ to bridge the gap between conventional veterinary medicine and holistic, root-cause healing. My approach is grounded in research (polyvagal theory, veterinary immunology, nervous system science) but delivered with the compassion and understanding you deserve.

The turning point came during a routine appointment for a dog with chronic ear infections.
The owner arrived with specialized lab results she’d paid top dollar for—hair tissue mineral analysis testing—hoping they might reveal something conventional testing had missed. She was thoughtful, thorough, the kind of pet parent who just wanted to understand what was happening to her dog.
The veterinarian I worked with dismissed the results without looking at them. Handed them back. Made some joke about pet parents playing doctor.
I stood there holding those test results-results this woman had trusted me to pass along-and watched her face crumble.
She left with a prescription for the same medication that had only worked temporarily before. I wondered how many hours she’d spent researching before that appointment. How much hope she’d had that this would be the thing that finally made sense of her dog’s suffering. And now she was walking out feeling dismissed, embarrassed, and more alone than ever.
Weeks later, I learned that same veterinarian was bragging about curing another dog’s recurring infections when specialists couldn’t. But the dog now had a different chronic condition-that seemed to come out of nowhere.
Except it didn’t come from nowhere. I couldn’t shake the knowing that suppressing one symptom had just driven the inflammation deeper, manifesting somewhere else.
That’s when I realized: I couldn’t keep being part of a system that dismissed the people trying hardest to help their pets.
This owner had been right to dig deeper. The chronic inflammation was still there-we’d just suppressed it in one place, and it manifested in another.
And pet parent's like her-the ones willing to invest their own time and hard-earned money to find real answers-deserved better than to be laughed at for trying.
My research beyond conventional protocols-studying the connection between chronic stress, nervous system dysregulation, and inflammatory disease, validated what these pet parents instinctively knew-that the body doesn’t malfunction randomly. Chronic symptoms are the body’s way of communicating that something fundamental is out of balance.
And most of the time, that “something” is chronic nervous system stress that no one is addressing.
I left conventional veterinary medicine because I couldn't keep watching pets suffer through the same cycle—and watching their people suffer right alongside them, drowning in guilt and exhaustion.
I became a holistic consultant because I wanted to help pet parents like you do what conventional medicine often can't: address the root cause, not just the symptoms.
Now, I help pet parents reconnect their dogs and cats to the natural healing capacity their bodies already possess. Through nervous system regulation, nature-based interventions, and evidence-informed nutrition, we calm the chronic stress driving the inflammatory cycle—so your pet's body can finally heal.
I believe:
Your pet's chronic symptoms aren't a life sentence—they're an invitation to understand something deeper
You're not "obsessed" or "over-invested"—you're a devoted parent who knows something is being missed
Healing doesn't happen in isolation—you and your pet rise together
The most powerful tool for your pet's wellness is your own regulated nervous syste
Every family deserves a guide who sees them fully and holds space for their transformation
I've helped families:
Resolve chronic ear infections that resisted antibiotics
Eliminate anxiety and compulsive behaviors without lifelong medication
Heal digestive issues that conventional vets called "idiopathic"
Reduce chronic pain and inflammation in aging pets
Rebuild the confidence and connection between pet and parent
My mission? To transform how we approach chronic pet health—from symptom suppression to root-cause resolution, from isolated treatment to whole-family healing, from helplessness to empowerment.
Like the lotus, your family's healing journey begins in the mud of chronic struggle. But with the right support, nutrients, and practices, you rise—together—into blooming wellness.
I'd be honored to be your guide.

What This Means for You:I've seen the conventional side from the inside. I know the protocols, the medications, the diagnostic process. I'm not against conventional veterinary medicine—I'm here to fill the gap it leaves. I work collaboratively alongside your vet, addressing the factors they often don't have time to explore in a 15-minute appointment.
I understand the science AND the soul of healing.
I don't believe in "natural" for the sake of being natural.
I believe in what actually works—which is often a combination of evidence-based science and nature's innate healing wisdom.
I won't tell you to throw away your vet's recommendations.
I'll help you understand what's driving your pet's symptoms so you can make informed decisions alongside your veterinary team. Some pets need medication—and that's okay. But they also need the underlying stress and inflammation addressed, or you'll stay stuck in the symptom-treatment-flare-up cycle.
I won't overwhelm you with 47 supplements and a complete lifestyle overhaul on day one.
I'll give you 1-2 actionable shifts at a time—simple, nature-based interventions that calm your pet's nervous system and allow their body to start healing. Sustainable change happens in layers, not all at once.
I see YOU, not just your pet.
Your pet's chronic symptoms aren't happening in a vacuum—they're affecting your sleep, your stress levels, your relationship with your pet, and your sense of competence as a caregiver. When we work together, we address both your pet's wellness AND your peace of mind.

Somewhere along the way, we've disconnected from the natural rhythms that support health—for ourselves and our pets.
We live in artificial light, breathe recycled air, eat processed food, and exist in a constant state of low-grade stress. Our pets do the same, because they live in our world.
Chronic inflammation isn't a deficiency of medication. It's often a deficiency of connection—to nature, to rest, to the body's innate healing capacity.
My work centers on one core truth: When we infuse more nature into our pets' lives—grounding, natural movement, species-appropriate nutrition, nervous system regulation—their bodies remember how to heal.
This isn't about rejecting modern medicine. It's about combining the best of both worlds: the diagnostic power of conventional veterinary science with the healing wisdom of nature-based practices.
Wellness isn't something you achieve and then maintain. It's something you continuously rise into—together with your pet, together with your family, together with your community.
I'm a single mom of 3, which means I understand what it's like to juggle a demanding schedule while trying to do everything "right" for the beings you love. I know what it's like to feel like you're failing, to lie awake at night wondering if you're making the right choices, to feel guilty about all the things you "should" be doing better.
I also know what it's like to finally find an approach that works—and to feel the relief of knowing you're on the right path.
My own pets have taught me more about healing than any textbook ever could. They've shown me that the body's wisdom is real, that slowing down matters, and that healing isn't linear—but it is possible.
This work isn't just my profession. It's personal.

If you're exhausted from trying everything and watching your pet's symptoms keep coming back...
If you're tired of spending money on treatments that don't address the root cause...
If you're ready to stop second-guessing every decision and start feeling confident in your pet's care...
I'm here to help.
We start with a free Root Cause Clarity Session—20 minutes where I help you understand what's actually driving your pet's chronic symptoms and whether my approach is the right fit for you.
If it is, we move into the Root to Rise Wellness Program—an 8-10 week intensive where we address the root cause through my three-phase framework: ROOT (assess and understand), REGULATE (implement nature-based interventions), and RISE (sustainable lifestyle integration).
By the end, you'll have a clear path forward, a toolkit of practices that actually work, and the confidence that you're finally addressing what's been missing.
I won't promise miracles. Healing chronic conditions takes time, and every pet is different.
I won't tell you this will be easy. Change requires commitment, and there will be moments of frustration.
But I will promise you this:
✓ I'll listen to everything you've already tried—and honor the effort you've put in
✓ I'll help you understand what's happening in your pet's body, not just tell you what to do
✓ I'll give you actionable steps that fit into your real life (not some perfect ideal that doesn't exist)
✓ I'll be honest about whether I think I can help—and refer you elsewhere if I'm not the right fit
✓ I'll treat your pet's health with the same care and dedication I'd give my own
You're not failing your pet. You've been doing the best you can with the information you have.
Now let's give you better information—and a better path forward.
Let's talk about your pet's specific situation and whether this approach is right for you.
